Laying Lineflex With Mechanical Fixings

A guide to laying Lineflex Fleece Backed EPDM membrane with mechanical fixings.

Step 1

Fix the first section in place using fixings and washers @ 300mm centres.

Step 2

Overlap next section of membrane beyond washers by a minimum of 50mm and seal with hot air welder using a silicone roller at a rate of 2.5m per minute at 220 degrees (level 4).

Step 3

Where applicable, use solvent-based adhesive to adhere to any upstands.

Step 4

Install washers and fixings 40mm from upstand, 300mm apart.

Step 5

Apply primer over the fixings.

Step 6

Seal with 6” cover tape.
